Tewksbury Police are looking for woman who allegedly ripped gold necklace from man’s neck in Walmart parking lot – Boston News, Weather, Sports

TEWKSBURY, MASS. (WHDH) – Tewksbury Police are turning to the public for help in locating a woman who allegedly ripped a 24-karat gold necklace from the neck of a man she was talking to in the parking lot of a Walmart the last week.

At around 3 p.m. Friday, officers responding to a robbery report outside Walmart on Main Street spoke to a man who said he was approached in the parking lot by an unidentified woman and man, the department said. Tewksbury Police Department.

After striking up a brief conversation, the woman grabbed a gold chain and pendant the victim was wearing and ripped them from her neck before fleeing on foot, police said.

The woman and the man she was with then fled from the parking lot in what appeared to be a blue Mazda hatchback, possibly a CX-5.

Police noted that the victim’s chain is “estimated at a significant value.”

Investigators are also working to determine if the incident is linked to similar thefts recently reported in Middleton, Walpole, Attleboro and Westbrook, Maine.
