Diamond rings and gold watches stolen in major jewelry raid

Diamond rings and 18k gold watches are among the items stolen from a home during a major jewelry raid.

A house in Trinity Close, Ashby, was targeted between 7.40 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23.

The house was broken into and a 14k gold half-diamond ring; a 9 karat gold opal ring; an 18-karat diamond and sapphire ring; a bar brooch in garnet and diamonds in 9 carat gold; a 1910 London Import 18-karat gold ladies’ watch; and an 18-karat gold London 1972 ladies’ watch were all stolen.

The victim was devastated by the burglary as the jewelry is of great sentimental value and the Leicestershire Police are currently investigating the burglary.

PC Kevin Kelly, the investigating officer, calls on anyone who may have information about the theft to get in touch.
