16 best gold earrings for spring that are fashion girl favorites

I’ve always had a thing for jewelry, which is why my piercing collection has reached double-digit status in recent years (17 to be exact). It’s about creating more places to wear pretty sparkly things, even if the healing process can seem endless. But now that all my ear piercings are healed and happy, I’m free to change my favorite gold earrings whenever I feel like updating my current selection, and of course playing with the best new ones. jewelry trends of the season.

My taste in earrings has fluctuated over the years, with trends like constellation piercings convincing me to double down on delicate pieces, while the current hardware-inspired craze has me seeking out hoops and bigger and more substantial chains. And while I have a handful of silver and white gold styles, I love the warmth and classic look of yellow gold.

Luckily, there are more half-finish jewelry brands than ever before, so you don’t necessarily have to drop an entire paycheck to complete your ear spree (although that’s extremely tempting). Gold vermeil or a lower percentage of gold alloy (think 10k vs 14k or more) is also a great way to save a few bucks without compromising on quality.

At this point in my collection, I’ve found a good mix of vintage and contemporary brands at a range of prices, so I’m willing to pile on as many earrings as I can fit on my ears – restraint has no place. out of place in my aesthetic jewelry. So whether you’re just getting started in the jewelry business or you’ve proudly booked your 2nd, 3rd, or 10th date with your favorite piercer (I’m going to Adrian Castillo at 108.BK) and you’re ready to expand your collection of gold earrings, check out some of my favorite spring jewelry styles to buy this season.

Elongated hoops

A classic gold hoop earring will always be in style, but an oblong shape is fresh and cool for the new season. I usually buy them as singles to change both ears, but if I fall in love with a pair I’ll wear them together on one ear for some intrigue.

Chained

Chains are the ideal detail if you don’t want your collection of earrings to be too precious. I like to add a chain to the back of the studs or create a pseudo ring with a chain style connected between two piercings.

Mighty Minis

A gorgeous row of baby hoops is one of the chicest stacks of earrings around. I like to leave an open piercing between these to play with the negative space and keep the look from looking too cluttered.

Form fitting studs

Just because you want a stack of nails doesn’t mean you’re limited to a basic gemstone option (though I’ll still like that vibe). Adding texture, color, and unique shapes is a great way to freshen up your ear party for spring.
